Shop 514 - Vintage Toys, Dolls & Lionel Trains in Tacoma WA

Die-cast racers, composition dolls, a boxed Lionel troop train & a rose-painted phonograph...

Visit Shop 514, where vintage toys fill the tall glass cases that run down the aisle. A lighted case holds rows of die-cast cars on glass shelves. The top shelf carries 1/43-scale Formula 1 open-wheel racers, with a yellow muscle car, a Corvette Sting Ray, and woody station wagons below. A long lower run holds sports coupes and trucks. A wooden cradle nearby holds composition and vinyl dolls in period dresses, a red-and-yellow clown doll, and a smaller bisque-style doll. A bride doll in a lace gown and veil stands on her own base. The toys carry through to a boxed Lionel World War II Troop Train Set, number 6-21951, with the lighted Lionel Electric Trains sign mounted above the cases.

Tin and pressed-steel toys share the wood shelving along the wall. A United States Army signal tower and a windmill-style derrick tower stand in painted steel. A boxed Ideal Tip-It balancing game from the 1970s sits on the shelf below, beside a Coleman gas lantern and stacked vintage fishing reels. Carnival glass in marigold and amber, oil lamps with painted shades, and milk-glass pieces fill a separate lighted case toward the front. Vinyl record albums in flip bins, vintage magazines, and TV Guide back issues line the racks across from the toy cases.

The analog-technology corner carries the secondary line at Shop 514. An Edison-style cylinder phonograph sits with its large morning-glory horn hand-painted in dark red with white roses and green leaves. A black Royal manual typewriter with glass-topped keys shares the counter, with a second Royal model nearby. A violin rests in its fitted hard case alongside the machines. Other finds include a brass kettle, a carved wooden display, and apothecary-era glass bottles. Toys lead here from die-cast and dolls to the boxed Lionel train, with phonographs, typewriters, and analog Americana filling the corner. Browse the Model Trains at Shop 111 and the Goebel and Hummel Figurines at Shop 20 for related finds.
