Pilgrim figurines, harvest wheat, porcelain creamers & milk glass lamps...
Visit Shop 53, where Fall decor takes center stage, filling two white ladder shelves and a black bookcase. Praying pilgrim figurines stand next to a plush turkey in a tall pilgrim hat, and a ceramic wheat sheaf that reads "GIVE THANKS". A framed print reads "TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON" with country art panels depicting all four seasons. The lower shelves take a turn toward Halloween, with a ceramic jack-o-lantern, a "You are my Boo!" sign with ghosts, and a 3d "SPOOKY" sign with more jack-o-lanterns.
The black bookcase is filled with clear pressed glass and milk glass, including a hobnail milk glass lamp with a pressed glass globe shade, a hurricane oil lamp with a clear chimney, milk glass casseroles with tab handles, a candy dish with diamond patterns, a domed cake stand, and a cut glass pitcher holding silver spoons. There is also a wooden cubby shelf filled with floral pattern porcelain creamers, along with a blue-and-white pagoda-scene trinket box and small cobalt and pink glass bottles.
On the other side of the shop sits a metal clothing rack filled with women's knit sweaters and cardigans in a range of colors and patterns from Lauren Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic. There is a wicker tray holding a gold-tone vanity hand mirror with an embroidered floral back, a beaded cream clutch, and a dark green quilted clutch. Finally, there are some books, such as "The Charm of Simple Things" with illustrations by Maren Scott, children's storybooks with gold foil spines and a Donald Duck title. Whether you're decorating for Halloween, Fall in general, or looking for a year-round piece, Shop 53 is a great stop.
